Details
According to Bocelli, from world war 2 to the late 90s, this Alpemare villa was a hotel for the people who wanted to visit the surrounding area of Forte Dei Marmi. However, before purchasing the house, Andrea took advice from his brother, who was an architect, Alberto Bocelli. The Alpemare villa was renovated, which ultimately divided his home into 3 separate spaces, which are the 3 levels of the villa. The first floor includes living and dining rooms. The second floor holds offices, a studio, and rooms for receiving guests. The third floor consists of bedrooms and other private places.
As the Alpemare villa of Bocelli is the main place where he is not working, so to have an environment that was comforting and familial was of utmost importance. “The problem is that for most of the year, my profession takes me around the world. As I travel so often, the best vacation I can think of is always feeling the warmth of my home, surrounded by the love of my family and friends who come to see me.” as stated by Andrea Bocelli. The Bocelli’s family also hosts charity musical evenings in the park, which surrounds the beautiful Alpemare villa.
There is a musical flow to the interior design, which is assisted with curvilinear shapes in the furniture as well. As said by Bocelli, his wife Berti Bocelli’s choices in furnishings were something very essential. He states, “She gave the rooms a sense of coherence, restoring warmth to the house and taking care of every little detail.” And fortunately, both of them shared the same views on design. “We are in perfect agreement; we have the same kind of sensibilities and perception when it comes to beauty,” he further added. In addition to the Alpemare villa, the couple also owns Alpemare Beach Club.
